TRENDING FEMALE PROSTITUTION IN REAL ESTATE. BY:Comr Nwaelugo Kennedy
Prostitution has different facets in Nigeria
and one of the key aspects is known as corporate prostitution, where enployers
employ beautiful ladies and covertly make them to trade their” prized possession”
in order to meet up their targets Thus, the female workers have turned
to prostitution by condition and not by choice
The real estate Sector of
Nigerian economy is neither excluded as we all know it is fast growing
and becoming one of the biggest and largest sector in Nigeria, and most real
estate development project spraying all around the country with huge
development projects coming up daily, whose target is to ensure that people own
their own houses, hereby employin females to market this estates, The
toll this ugly” flesh trade” has taken on the private lives of those concerned,
the self worth of the persons concerned and by extension, the entire moral
status and image of the nation is quite great and it makes the issue hot and
cantankerous.
The economic
adversity in the country has turned the female marketers in most real estate
development companies into chippies just
to survive, just as it is also in the banking sector. It is quite axiomatic that
this companies in Nigeria have resorted to numerous unethical practices in a
desperate bid to enhance their sales. The firms set starry-eyed targets for
their marketing staff, especially their female staff, insisting that they
either live up to their expectation by meeting up their specified targets or
they lose their jobs.
By extension,
most of these CEOs always respect prudential guidelines, credit administration
procedures and other key banking real estate thicks. However, they fail to
respect the dignity of human person as it concerns their female employees, they
use them as carrots by overtly turning them into whores just to make money for
the company. Too bad! To further strengthen their target realization, some of these
companies have introduced monthly performance report(MPR) whereby a marketer is
called by the board to give account of what he or she has done so far. All
these strategies are aimed at making sure that targets are realized at a
specific period of time.
When one takes
a closer look and analysis of the sales targets given to these female marketers
and also their male counterparts, it is quite obvious that they are not only
unrealistic, unreasonable and unattainable, but indeed, they are also
irrational, illogical, impetuous and wicked
We all know that the real estate sectors have created jobs for lots of Nigerian, either base
on full time or target base commisson jobs in which they employer is given a
monthly target to meet in order for him or her to get his salary or mouth watering
commission from sales and meeting of targets.
The trend
has moved from corporate Banking Prostitution to Corporate real marketing
Prostitution as I said ab-initio.
In the
Banking sector where females have no choice but to sleep with clients in order
for the big clients to bank with them and most time if they don meet up this
target which might lead to their employment being terminated.
This
negative trend has now shifted from the banking sector down to the real estate
sector, where huge target are given and beautiful ladies employed by this real
estate development companies and are given huge target of millions of naira,
instructed to do what ever it will take to meet this targets, which sometimes
its huge and unrealisable, leading this ladies to go as far as disturbing this
clients, calling and begging as well as having private meetings just to ensure they
sell this estate and meet up to this targets or else they might be out of
job, most expecially when they get in contact with a big and rich client.
As a real
estate practitioner, digital and social media marketer, I have come in
contact with ladies who have tried selling their land expecially those numerous
development at ibeju lekki and its axis and while interacting, I discovered
that the ladies are not well quipped or trained in marketing and sometimes I will
be forced to ask them if they are actually marketing the land or themselves or
are marketing both at the same time.
Just of recent I got a post in one of my platform in Property Exchange
Network for approval and when I check the post, the lady had a picture of the
land she was marketing at ibeju lekki and close to the picture of the land, she
had her own pictured attached to eat, which she was putting on a body revealing
cloth(almost nude) so in such a case, what is the lady actually selling?
This is called real estate prostitution and its been motivated by some of this employers ,who gives this
ladies outrageous target, which might be unrealizable in the real estate sector
and what most people rushing into real estate do not know is that lands and
properties are one of as we all know, the most difficult things to sell in this
life is real estate.
It involves lots of consultation, discussion, assurance, investigation
and check and balance, even family meeting and consultations.
So ladies be sure you are ready to work when you intend to go into
the real estate sector and not make yourself a cheap tools to be used by some
of this employers/developers and real estate practitioner.
Some employers actually give a target of N5,000,000(five million)
to N10,000,00(ten million) monthly which might be unrealizable.
What motivated my decision to write this article is because I have
noticed this in the real estate sector and someone has to talk about it,to
advice us especially the ladies not to think getting into real estate is a
quick way of making money, the truth is that most employers are actually looking
for who to use in the name of employment, because they know there are no job
anywhere.
Real Esate requires patience and consistency and perseverance, its
not a get rich quick thing,or else you want to be used and dump so do not give
your body to client, because you want to sell a plot of land.
Will conclude
with this stories.
I currently work in one of this big estate development firms, with
several properties at lekki lagos but am not a marketing staff, lately my
company has been doing badly no sale so my boss asked that everyone starts
marketing whenever they can, even though there are no targets for us since we
are not in the marketing team.
But my experience since i started the marketing has left me in awe
and sadness. Most male customers i approach want to take advantage of me, they
tell me all the other Account officers are sleeping with them, so that if am
not willing to do that, then am not ready for business.

Wise!!!!!Hope you find this article educating and interesting, you can also tell
